This Series Of Prints Comes From 'pinetum Britannicum' By W. Richardson, Ravenscroft, And Lawson  Printed From 1863-1884, London. This Series Illustrates A Collection Of Pines, Many Of Which Were Transplanted To The Isle Of Wight By Queen Victoria Onto Her Osbourne Estate. The Queen Though So Highly Of This Series That The She Became Its' First Subscriber Followed By Napoleon Iii. This Victorian Masterpiece Of Hand Coloured Lithography Took Almost 40 Years To Complete.  The Pinetum Britannicum Is Considered To Be The The Most Important Study Of The English Naturalised Conifers Ever Produced.
